Robotics Club Brings Home FOUR Trophies

Members of the Robotics Club attended the Washington County Lego Robotics Expo at Elm Street School on March 6. Teams from across the county had the opportunity to compete in a low-stress “science fair” format and participated in a robotics skill-a-thon. Categories for judging included: Best Robot Design, Best Non-robotic Design, Creativity Award, Best Overall Project, Best Challenge Team and Team Spirit, Rookie All-Star Award, Crowd Pleaser’s Award, and Best Community Service (awarded to the school that brings the most canned food [by weight] to the event; organizers will distribute donations to a food pantry of the winner’s choice.

Over the years, the competition has grown from a handful of teams the first year to 21 robotics teams this year. Of the eight trophies awarded at the meet, the Charlotte team, coached by volunteers Ann Luginbuhl and Stan Sluzenski, brought home four of them: Best Challenge Team, Best Robotic Design, Best Overall Project, and Best Community Service.  (photo courtesy of Anne Sluzenski)

Coyote T-Shirt Orders

You can order personalized Charlotte Coyote t-shirts, sweatshirts, and bib aprons anytime throughout the school year.
